The research team of the TCIEM project is in the phase of analysing the results obtained during the last academic year, which was focused on evaluative research in schools on transversal competences through school music projects. This phase is beginning to offer the first conclusions that can be drawn about the research being carried out by the project. In this sense, Antonio Fernández Jiménez, a member of the TCIEM project, has shared the preliminary results of the educational centre where he has carried out his part of the research with postgraduate students from the University of Valencia, taking advantage of the fact that he was on a research stay at that institution.
The conference entitled The research process in music education for the development of transversal competences in Secondary Education was given in the Master’s Degree in Specific Didactics Research and in the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching, which explored the different phases involved in the development of research in the field of education. The students of both master’s degrees raised questions about different issues related to research processes in music education, as well as concerns about the development of interdisciplinary projects in schools using music as a key element.
