Two members of the TCIEM project, Rosa M. Serrano Pastor and Antonio Fernández Jiménez, participated in the 13th International Multidisciplinary Congress on Educational Research (CIMIE) held in Donostia-San Sebastián on 3 and 4 July.
On the one hand, Rosa M. Serrano Pastor was invited as an expert to participate in the panel organised by the Musical Expression Teaching area, entitled ‘Towards a globalising music education’. In this space, interdisciplinary projects from music education in the stages of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education and Secondary Education were shared and discussed in order to deepen the teaching of music in dialogue with other areas and fields of the school curriculum. Rosa Serrano spoke about several projects for the Early Childhood Education stage, mentioning the interdisciplinary proposal developed by the TCIEM project for this educational level.
On the other hand, Antonio Fernández Jiménez presented an oral communication within the thematic space on teacher training entitled ‘The Working Group as a model of continuing education in Secondary Education for interdisciplinarity’. In this presentation, he shared the case study research carried out by the TCIEM project in secondary education, focusing on the results found with regard to what the process of training, designing and implementing an interdisciplinary educational proposal has meant for teachers.
