The project
TCIEM Project
With this project we intend to carry out an evaluative research of interdisciplinary proposals based on music that develop transversal competences, creativity, inclusiveness and interdisciplinary teaching of the different areas of the curriculum in kindergarten, primary and secondary education.
To this end, we propose a four-stage plan

phase
To develop proposals for classroom implementation based on the literature review and analysis of existing innovative projects.

phase
To propose a professional development plan to be implemented through teacher centers.

phase
To implement the aforementioned professional development plan, with follow-up and consultation during implementation in regular classrooms.

phase
To prepare a dissemination plan for our results and findings, both at the academic level and among teachers.
These proposals will be based on the PBL approach established by the current Spanish Education Act LOMLOE, with a marked interdisciplinary character from the approach of integrated teaching of science and arts (and, by extension, humanities) known as STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics). Proposals will be developed from music, for which we will rely mainly on music production and ICT.
The results will be disseminated at two levels: at the academic level, through presentations at conferences and the publication of articles and books through standardized channels, and at the teaching level, through the corresponding knowledge transfer plan, so that the materials created and the results obtained reach non-university teachers and, ultimately, students and the general population.
